SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– For the first time a person in a wheelchair doesn’t need a large van or bus fitted with a lift to get around. A four-door sedan will now do the job, with a few innovative adjustments to make it a little easier to travel.

Imperial Coach Builders has retrofitted a Lexus E350 to make it easier for the owner to get in and out. At the touch of a button, the car opens up, allowing easier access.
Imperial wants to show war veterans who are back from Iraq and Afghanistan that they have another option, other than a minivan or bus. Workers at Imperial say they’re proud to be a part of the project.
The company hopes to be able to help more people out there with disabilities. If the prototype works, and everything goes well, it could produce several hundred cars a year.
The Lexus conversion costs about $13,000. However, a domestic car will be much cheaper. Also, if they can mass produce the cars, the cost will go down. Imperial is shopping the car to Veterans Administration hospital patients.

The Company’s successful participation at the Limo Digest Show in Atlantic City, New Jersey held November 8th thru 11th, contributed $187,000.00 of the total orders that includes a pink super stretch Limousine. In a previous press release dated November 6th announcing the Company’s attendance at the Limo Digest Show, ECC committed to make a contribution to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, (www.bcfo.org), for every pink limousine sold. The Company is proud to say that it will make that contribution due to the sale of the first pink limousine at the show.

Also included in the total amount of purchase orders are several limousine buses to be built from the ground up totaling $575,000.00 to be used for touring, sporting events and concerts. ECC is also completing the refurbishment of several buses that amounts to $143,000.00 of the total amount committed.

In addition to November’s record setting orders, the Company is proud to announce that it has over $1,600,000.00 in contracts out for final approval. Contracts to include two more pink super stretch limousines, one H2 Hummer stretch and a Chrysler 300 stretch limousine.
