(OTC Bulletin Board: ELCR), a vehicle conversion Company that specializes in electric conversions and manufacturing for the Livery, Fleet and Private Specialty Markets, today announces that it has executed an Exclusive Distributor Agreement with Manufacturing Connection International, LLC. Agreement gives distributor exclusive rights to inventory, market and sell the Company’s limousines, custom vehicles, electric conversion vehicles and limo buses in the territory of The Peoples Republic of China.
Imperial Coach Builders, a wholly owned subsidiary of Electric Car Company (ICC), will manufacture all the vehicles out of its manufacturing facility located in Springfield, MO. According to the Agreement, the initial order will consist of 7 vehicles of any model selected by Manufacturing Connection International (MCLLC). Initial order will be placed within one week after obtaining certification and dealer license from the Chinese government. MCLLC has agreed to order a minimum of 5 additional vehicles per month in order to maintain exclusivity on the territory. Payment for all vehicles will be made in full before shipment from factory to China.

MCLLC has informed the Company that they are in the final stages of certification with the Chinese government and anticipates approval within 30 to 60 days. It is important to note that in order to obtain certification from China, manufacturers have to meet very stringent quality standards. The Chinese certification process is going smooth due in part to Imperial Coach Builders’ long standing Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) certification given to Imperial from Ford Motors. The QVM certification, respected worldwide, is awarded only to manufacturers adhering to the highest of quality and safety standards.

SPRINGFIELD, MO, Oct 18, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — Electric Car Company, Inc., a vehicle conversion company that specializes in electric conversions and manufacturing for the livery, fleet and private specialty markets, today announced that it has executed a Letter Of Intent with NEAH Power Systems, Inc., a publicly held company trading under the stock symbol (OTCBB:NPWZ), to negotiate a development and exclusive marketing agreement.

The Agreement provides Electric Car Company (ECC) with exclusive rights to sell and distribute NEAH’s proprietary fuel cells and ancillary products designed for hybrid on-road, four-wheel vehicles. ECC will also have the exclusive marketing rights to sell NEAH Power’s fuel cells to other manufacturers of hybrid zero emission four-wheel vehicles. The definitive agreement is expected to have a term of five years and be based on negotiated performance volumes starting at the end of one year. Under the terms of the Agreement, both Companies have agreed to a 50/50 ownership and joint venture that will operate under a newly formed Nevada Corporation named Liberty Electric Car, Inc. The Agreement will combine the respective expertise of the two Companies in the production of high performance zero emission luxury Pure Electric vehicles.
Pursuant to a recent announcement by the Company dated June 10th of this year, the joint venture will focus initially on the conversion of large luxury 4X4 vehicles like the Range Rover* and the Lincoln MKZ custom limousines using Liberty’s groundbreaking proprietary electric power train technology. This proprietary electric power system uses four on-board motors (one for each wheel) and incorporates a state-of-the art energy storage system. Imperial Coach Builders has retrofitted a Lexus E350 to make it easier for the owner to get in and out. At the touch of a button, the car opens up, allowing easier access.
Imperial wants to show war veterans who are back from Iraq and Afghanistan that they have another option, other than a minivan or bus. Workers at Imperial say they’re proud to be a part of the project.
The company hopes to be able to help more people out there with disabilities. If the prototype works, and everything goes well, it could produce several hundred cars a year.
The Lexus conversion costs about $13,000. However, a domestic car will be much cheaper. Also, if they can mass produce the cars, the cost will go down. Imperial is shopping the car to Veterans Administration hospital patients.
